SMEs can access free business support through BRIC & EnTRESS!
BRIC (Brownfield Research & Innovation Centre) is a project designed to assist Black Country SMEs with all aspects of brownfield development, including but not limited to, ground remediation, soil sampling, GIS and BIM, using our resources and academic staff here are the university. We focus on innovative brownfield reclamation techniques, particularly bioremediation and heritage building restoration.

At the Environmental Technologies & Resource Efficiency Support Service (EnTRESS) we support SMEs on the adoption of environmental technologies and resource efficiency processes. Working across a variety of sectors EnTRESS seeks to improve resource efficiency to increase business competitiveness, improve productivity and identify new market opportunities for SMEs.
What we do
EnTRESS engages with SMEs and large organisations to link academic research into business, driving innovation in areas such as waste management, bioremediation, biopolymers, pollution control and sustainable operations. We understand that the environmental technologies sector is a varied and fast moving, so EnTRESS will provide the practical support to help SMEs engage with these innovations.
The BRIC & EnTRESS projects are part-funded by the ERDF to promote sustainable economic growth and are located within the University of Wolverhampton's Faculty of Science & Engineering.
