Joanne Kwan manages CIRIA award winning contaminated land programme. Joanne has been involved in over 40 good practice guidance documents, more than 300 training courses, conferences and other types of events related to brownfield and contaminated land.
She was also the project manager of the CIRIA report C733 Asbestos in soil and made ground: a guide to understanding and managing risks, C735 Asbestos in soil and made ground good practice site guide and is the co author of first the asbestos from soil site management aid (APP) in the UK which will be launched later this year.
Joanne is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Chartered Chemist, a Chartered Scientist, a Chartered Environmentalist, a Fellow at the Institution of Environmental Science, a Fellow at the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

This presentation will explain how the first UK asbestos from soil site management aide (APP) will help and prepare people for site work where they may come into contact with asbestos and support them in the spotting and reporting of asbestos contaminated materials when on site.
